Chester County SROs

What is a school resource officer?

Our SRO's are duly sworn and authorized law enforcement officers, employed by the sheriff, who meet all state training standards. Each SRO has been assigned to work in a community oriented policing role in collaboration with school leaders. School Resource Officers receive additional specialized training to ensure that they are equipped and prepared to partner with the local school district as well as other stakeholders in the community. SRO's are involved in planning for and implementing safety and security efforts in each school, addressing law enforcement issues that arise on school property, and mentoring students.
